Prior to being acquired by Capita Symonds, Inventures operated as an independent consultancy services provider.
The organsation was established in the private sector in 2005 having previously operated within NHS Estates, part of the Department of Health.
In November 2004, Inventures was being subjected to a managed closure. However, the entrepreneurial senior team - who still work for Inventures today - recognised that the organisation contained skills that provided tangible benefits to the healthcare sector. In response, David Lawrence and the senior management team purchased Inventures and established a market leading healthcare consultancy provider.
As Inventures had a unique position in the market place with skills and contacts that could not be rivaled elsewhere, Capita Symonds identified that acquiring Inventures would enable the organisation to provide a unique full service proposition across health and the wider public sector.
